We offer premium accommodation with a “no expense spared” business philosophy to correspondingly give our guests the best possible experience. At the core of our business values is professional, reliable service and good communication to ensure a smooth problem free visit.
We also offer our guests free guidance and advice on how to get the best experience from the historical sites. Starting with our own family who sailed to Burra from England in 1876, we have a wealth of knowledge about the history of the town.

ABOUT THE HISTORICAL COTTAGE.
The Burra Burra Copper Mine was established in 1848 mining the copper deposit discovered in 1845.
Miners and townspeople migrated to Burra primarily from Cornwall, Wales, Scotland and Germany. The mine first closed in 1877.

Coppervilla was built in about 1890 of local blue-stone in a classic Cornish style. One instantly feels the turn of the century era with the original construction and fittings.
The cottage consists of two roomy bedrooms each with a queen bed joined by a hallway to a large lounge. Additionally the entire area is carpeted.
Moreover, a third bedroom off the lounge room has a single bed and is available for a fee on request.
The rear section of the cottage offers a good sized kitchen with an original wood stove. The bathroom, laundry and toilet area make up the rest of the house. This section of the cottage is all hard floored.
The cottage is constantly being improved and as a result, modern fittings or replacing worn vintage fittings are being replaced with new in the original styling.
The house is located on a quiet street for maximum relaxation.
Burra Bed & Breakfast accommodation is close to all the amenities in Burra including museums, cafes, sports grounds and shopping. Most places are just a short walk across the Burra creek.
Pets are always welcome at Burra Bed & Breakfast. The enclosed yard allows hours of joy with a new scent in every corner.
The property has a dog house (soon to be upgraded) to explore and a drinking bowl topped up with fresh cool water.
Basket and sleeping arrangements can be made on any one of the hard floor areas.
We ask that pets not use the carpeted area due to guests that suffer from allergies.
No expense has been spared with the bedding.
The quality mattresses include a topper not to mention the highest quality sheeting to say nothing of the high quality quilting to ensure the perfect night’s sleep.
THE BEST NIGHT’S SLEEP
The queen size beds provide plenty of room for singles or couples. The bedrooms are warmed by oil column heaters on cold winter nights to ensure total comfort.
Quilts are king size and are perfect for snuggling up for a sleep in. We additionally supply a number of books for bedtime reading.
The newly renovated kitchen features all of the modern conveniences along with turn of the century styling.
An original wood fired stove adds to the charm. Guests choosing to cook on the premises will find two bench-top induction cook-tops, induction cookware along with an electric fry pan.
Other kitchen items of course include a toaster, kettle, electric fry-pan, plates, bowls, glasses, cups and cutlery.
WHAT’S FOR BREAKFAST?
Breakfast consists of course, of a continental selection with milk, butter and juice in the refrigerator.
Furthermore, most items are individually seal to ensure freshness and hygiene. We are happy to cater for guests who require gluten free, with advance notice.
The lounge area boasts comfortable seating, a wood fire, TV and sideboard.
Make your evening after a day out seeing the sights and sounds of Burra, a comfortable and cosy one.
SURFING THE INTERNET
We are connected to the NBN and will as well as replacing the TV with an updated smart TV. This makes the cottage a great place to work from home or see streaming TV. We charge a small fee for this service to cover the costs. In the colder months we provide split red gum for a warm toasty wood fire.
BATHROOM AND SHOWER FACILITIES.
The recently renovated bathroom features a bathtub with shower in addition to a hand basin.
Further in is a laundry area coupled with the toilet. Cleanliness is highest on our agenda which is reflected in the bathroom area. See our testimonials for more information.
Furthermore, we of course supply the highest quality towels.
Heating in the bathroom is available via a bar heater on the wall for those chilly mornings.
As of August 2019 we provided a brand new washing machine primarily for our longer term guests. The backyard houses a very large Hills hoist clothesline for quick drying.
Burra Bed & Breakfast offers ample off street parking with room for at least four cars together with a caravan and/or boat.
Furthermore, the yard is fully enclosed for the added safety of children and/or dogs. We value safety and this is reflected with many aspects of the cottage.
